“Roots” witten in Arabic with the root of a peppermint plant. Freehand calligraphic painting inspired by the article by Jane Savage about refugees and their sentiments towards the concept of home.
Tea with mint is a typical way that most Palestinians prefer their tea. Sometimes with copious amounts of sugar as Joe Sacco depicts this concept in his graphic novel ‘Palestine’.
